Tell the editor anything
- The editor on the review screen now takes styling instructions too — “make the captions pop”, “big yellow karaoke captions”, “add calm music”, “give it a warm look”, “make it square”. One sentence can change several things at once, and it tells you exactly what it did.
- It knows the clip’s current style, so “bigger captions” means bigger than what you have now.
- Ask for something Foldcut doesn’t have — say, purple captions or jazz — and it picks the closest real option and says so, instead of pretending.
- Your cuts are safe: styling instructions never touch your cut-and-keep pieces, and everything the editor does is still one Undo away.

Your clips arrive already edited
- Foldcut now has an AI editor. With a Gemini key set, analysis ends with an edit pass: every chosen clip gets tightened onto sentence boundaries, tangents get cut, and titles become hooks — each card tells you what changed and why, and everything stays reversible in Review.
- It watches as well as reads: a few sampled frames and the video’s silence map go along with the transcript, so cuts land in real audio gaps and never mid-gesture. All the heavy sensing happens locally with ffmpeg — the AI call stays small, fast, and cheap on your own key.
- Tell the editor what you want, in plain words: a new box on the Review screen takes instructions like “punchier”, “cut the intro”, or “start at the question” — it edits just that clip, explains itself, and one click undoes it.
